Sometimes solving problems doesn’t require code; solving problems with code may be a habitual way of thinking for programmers.
Ask questions first, then give advice; have a dialogue, not a monologue; if you don’t know, just say you don’t know.
Generalists (juniors) are usually better at innovation than experts
I actually think there are mid and senior level generalists too. Generalists excel at solving problems across different domains/knowledge areas, often arriving at simpler solutions.
Teaching is a better way of learning.
